Bendrigg Lodge was our first accessible accommodation for people with disabilities. Once serving as an old hunting lodge, Bendrigg Lodge was purchased by the founders of Bendrigg Trust back in 1976. Several extensions and developments later, the Bendrigg Lodge that we all know and love remains deeply rooted at the heart of our organisation. Over the years Bendrigg Lodge has seen thousands of guests ranging from school groups, charities and families with a range of additional needs through its doors, offering a welcoming and inclusive environment to enjoy during their stay with us.
Bendrigg Lodge consists of a large dining room, kitchen, lounge and bedrooms sleeping up to 40 guests over 3 floors. Accessible bedrooms are available on the ground and first floors, accessed via a ramp or lift. Bendrigg Lodge’s accessible features and aids include:
